Northern Ocean Habitat, 100.1 WJRZ and Ocean County Mall to host Building Homes from the Heart

TOMS RIVER, N.J. – Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity and 100.1 WJRZ will be hosting the first ever Building Homes from the Heart blitz build event on Friday, September 30 and Saturday, October 1 at the Ocean County Mall. Volunteers and local sponsors will come together to begin construction on the latest Habitat home in the mall parking lot. The construction project will then be moved to a nearby donated lot from Toms River Township. All funds raised from Building Homes from the Heart will be used to complete construction of the Toms River Habitat home.

The opening ceremony will begin promptly at 9 a.m. on Friday and will be inclusive of sponsors’ check presentations, remarks from Habitat homeowners and staff, an appearance by Mayor Kelaher and a National Anthem performance by the Donovan Catholic choir. WJRZ will broadcast live from the event.
