The Habitat ReStore Shopping Experience

In addition to an ever-changing selection of new and gently used home improvement materials, you also could find items like antiques, solid-wood furniture and even complete dining sets.

Not your ordinary thrift store, proceeds from Habitat ReStores are put to use to help build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter in the Northern Ocean County community and around the world.

You never know what you’re going to find.
Since all of the items in the Habitat ReStore are donated from people and companies in our community, the selection varies depending on what has been donated.

Every trip is different.
Because of that ever-changing selection, you’ll see different inventory every time you shop. Sometimes you may find something unexpected, such as a table from your favorite restaurant. So come back often!

What you see is not always what you end up with.
Many shop at the ReStore to find items they can upcycle and transform into something new. Upcycling is taking an item that is no longer needed or wanted and giving it new life as something that is either useful or creative.

You shop, we build.
Perhaps the biggest reason to shop at the Habitat ReStore is that you’ll know exactly where your hard-earned money is going — right back into the larger mission of Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity.

All proceeds from the ReStore’s sales go back to Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity, where the money will go towards building and repairing homes in the community. Simply by purchasing gently used items for your home, you’ll play a role in helping to build strength, stability, self-reliance, and shelter in northern Ocean County.

So if a kitchen renovation is already on your to-do list, why not shop at the Habitat ReStore so that 100% of your money goes toward future Habitat for Humanity builds? Paying it forward sure does feel good!

The new Northern Ocean Habitat ReStore location will open Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 10 a.m. Come see us at 1214 Route 37 (old Bob Kislin’s) in Toms River from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and build strength, stability and self-reliance by shopping!
